Volunteer
Training Course
Area – Interested in helping domestic violence survivors? Shelter House, Inc. is holding its twenty-four hour Core Competency Training Course for volunteers interested in staffing our confidential Hotline. Volunteers will complete the 30 hours of Core Competency Training before receiving their certificate and staffing the hotline. Volunteers will be trained to assist victims of domestic violence to stay safe, provide guidance to concerned friends, family, and co-workers, make referrals to appropriate agencies, and field a variety of other inquiries.
This course will be held at the Shelter House, Inc. Program Office, located at 102 Buck Dr., Building B. The date and times are:
March 10, 2007 Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
March 24, 2007 Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
March 31, 2007 Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
